    Arnica

    Arnica montana

    Botanical

The mountain daisy found in every physio's kit bag.

    Traditional use

Growing wild in Alpine meadows, arnica has been rubbed into tired legs by mountaineers and shepherds for centuries, European folk tradition's answer to a long day's climb.

    Provenance, where ours comes from

Arnica montana flower extract, from the yellow daisies of upland European meadows.

What's in it, the compounds researchers look at
    Helenalin
A sesquiterpene lactone unique to the arnica group.
    Flavonoids
The pigment compounds in the yellow flower heads.
    The form we use

Flower extract, used topically only, in our EASE Muscle Balm, massaged into the skin after effort.

What the research has looked at

Arnica is a long-standing topical preparation in European herbal medicine, with monographs covering external use for bruising and muscular discomfort.
