    Algae Omega-3

    Schizochytrium sp.

    Algae

DHA and EPA cut out of the middle, taken straight from the algae where fish get theirs.

    Traditional use

Coastal cultures have known for millennia that marine diets keep people sharp and hardy. What we've learned since is that fish don't make Omega-3, they concentrate it from the microalgae they eat. We simply go to the source.

    Provenance, where ours comes from

Schizochytrium algae grown in fermentation tanks on land, cutting out the fish entirely: vegan, ocean-friendly and free from marine contaminants.

What's in it, the compounds researchers look at
    DHA
Contributes to maintenance of normal brain function and vision (250mg/day).
    EPA
With DHA, contributes to normal heart function (250mg/day).
    The form we use

Marine algae oil, the original source of EPA and DHA in the food chain. Fish are simply the middlemen.

What the research has looked at

EPA and DHA hold authorised EFSA health claims at defined daily intakes, making this one of the few ingredients in our range where the claim is settled science.

    Field notes
    • Fish don't make omega-3; they accumulate it by eating algae.
    • Algal oil skips the ocean entirely, no bycatch, no heavy metal load, no fishy repeat.
    • Sustainably fermented in tanks, so supply doesn't depend on fish stocks.
