    CBD Hemp Extract

    Cannabis sativa L.

    Cannabinoid

The plant where it all began, humanity's oldest crop, and the root of the whole Grass & Co. story.

    Traditional use

Hemp has been cultivated for over 10,000 years, for fibre, food and traditional preparations across Asia and Europe. CBD itself was identified in 1940, and modern cultivation lets us isolate it cleanly, always without THC.

    Provenance, where ours comes from

Extracted from legally cultivated hemp and refined until no trace of THC remains, then blended and bottled in the UK. Every batch is independently lab tested.

What's in it, the compounds researchers look at
    Cannabidiol (CBD)
The primary cannabinoid in our extracts.
    Terpenes
Aromatic compounds retained in broad-spectrum extract.
    Minor cannabinoids
CBG and CBC in trace amounts.
    The form we use

Broad-spectrum extract from EU-approved hemp cultivars, CO2-extracted and third-party tested for cannabinoid content and contaminants. Controlled-substance thresholds are respected in every batch.

What the research has looked at

CBD is a UK novel food, meaning products must hold a validated application to be sold legally. Under UK Food Standards Agency guidance the recommended maximum for healthy adults is 10mg CBD per day.

    Field notes
    • CBD was where Grass & Co. began, in 2019, with EASE.
    • 'Broad-spectrum' means the wider plant profile is retained while THC is removed.
    • Third-party certificates of analysis for every batch live in the Evidence Locker on our Science page.
