At Grass & Co, we believe CBD harnesses the power of nature to enhance our day-to-day lives. The modern world can impact our mind and our body in various ways. Therefore, we want to help people care for their physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. There are many reasons why people take Cannabidiol (CBD). It's known to be a widely discussed in relation to a variety of conditions such as insomnia, pain, stress or anxiety.
If you’re new to CBD, you may be unsure as to what path is best for you. The first thing we’d like to clarify is that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to taking CBD. Instead, we’d like to offer our expert advice and information, so you make decisions that you feel are best for you and your body.
CBD Oil can be taken in two ways. The first way is ‘sublingual’, ingesting drops of CBD Oil by placing it under the tongue using a tincture. Drops placed under the tongue should be held there for between 60 and 90 seconds. The second most effective way is referred to as ‘topical’, which involves rubbing the CBD Balm or Body Oil into your skin and onto aching muscles and joints.
The best way to take CBD is to ingest it orally. This involves taking drops under the tongue using a tincture, for fast-acting and direct results. Alternatively, CBD topical balms and Balms are great for helping particular areas of the body. The CBD is directly absorbed through the skin, without it entering the bloodstream.
Putting CBD Oil under the tongue (also referred to as a ‘sublingual’ method) is easy, quick, and effective. Dosage is measured in drops, making it as simple as possible to give yourself the right amount. The capillaries under our tongue provide a direct route to the bloodstream. We recommend that you hold the drop under your tongue for up to 90 seconds before swallowing. This may support maximise absorption of the CBD into your system and achieve a longer lasting effect.
Our own CBD Oil is blended with complementary botanicals including turmeric, ginger and orange, or mint, chamomile and ashwagandha, natural ingredients known for their restorative effects and deliciously smooth flavours.
Since topical CBD Oil doesn’t enter the bloodstream, there’s no need to worry about the dosage. With sublingual consumable oils, however, we advise you to start low and go slow. Enjoy regularly as a part of your daily routine, listen to your body’s reaction, and take it from there.
The recommended dosage for Consumable CBD Oil can vary depending on its strength. Our Consumable CBD Oil is available in a variety of different strengths. Our permanent range includes a standard bottle (containing 500mg of CBD), and a higher strength bottle (containing 1,000mg of CBD). Older 400mg and 800mg bottles have since been discontinued; the 500mg and 1,000mg strengths are the permanent range.
All of our bottles are in convenient 10ml formats which is approximately 200 drops of CBD Oil per bottle. We advise taking, at regular intervals, no more than 30 drops of our standard sublingual CBD Oil, or 20 drops of our higher strength CBD Oil a day.
CBD is a relatively new industry, so it’s important to Grass & Co. to set the standard and share the correct advice to our customers. In February 2020, the Food Standards Agency advised that healthy adults should not take over 70mg of CBD in a single day.
